Call for submissions: Photo competition "In objective: Kazakh-Russian life together", Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg of Robert Bosh fund project, November 2005 - March 2006 Articles / Posted by Admin on Oct 18, 2005 - 10:54 AM A photo competition as a project in Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg of Robert Bosh fund will be organized from 15 November 2005 till 15 March 2006. The topic of thea photo competition is: “In objective: Kazakh-Russian life together”. Deadline for submissions is 15 March 2006. The year 2006 will mark 15 years of bilateral co-operation between Kazakhstan and Russia. After a long time of a life together between Kazakh and Russian people in Kazakhstan it seems to be important to remind of the common historical past of these two nations. A state border divided Kazakhstan and Russia in 1991. Two sovereign independent states appeared. But a state border couldn’t divide the society of Kazakhstan into Kazakh and Russian societies. The first objective of the project is to give the young talented people of Kazakhstan a possibility to express their free and creative opinions according to the topic in the form of the photography. The second objective of the project is to develop friendship and tolerance in bilateral relations between the two different cultures living in Kazakhstan. We invite everybody, who lives in Kazakhstan and is between 16 till 30 years old, to participate in our photo competition. The competition begins on 15 November 2005. Deadline is 15 March 2006. Digital photos must have a size not bigger than 1 MB. Please, send your photos to maite_fly@mail.ru and angel_maria58@hotmail.com. The best photos are the photos that: (1) clearly explain a theme “In objective: Kazakh-Russian life together”; (2) show an interest of photographer in the theme of the photo competition; (3) are really creative, interesting, unusual; (4) ask the questions or give the answers; (5) ideas of photographer must be innovative, creative and must show the own opinion and character of its author. The 50 best photos will be chosen for the photo-exhibition by objective jury. This photo-exhibition will be organized in the Kazakh-German University in Almaty during 3 to 23 April 2006. The best photos in the 5 nominations will be rewarded with the super presents!!! The project “In objective: Kazakh-Russian life together” is in Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg of Robert Bosh fund (Germany).
