Call for papers: "The Cotton Sector in Central Asia: Economic Policy and Development Challenges", 3-4 November 2005, London

The conference is organized by Centre of Contemporary Central Asia and the Caucasus SOAS, University of London. The objective of the event is to promote a comprehensive policy dialogue on different aspects of the operations of the cotton sector in Central Asia from macro-economic impact to social and environmental consequences.Please submit the paper proposal in Word format by June 1, 2005 to cotconf@soas.ac.uk.


The proposal should include:
1) Your name, address, position and place of employment or study;
2) What language your paper presentation will be in;
3) Paper abstract of 400-500 words with the title and brief description of your proposed paper, including what data or sources of information you will be drawing upon;
4) A biographical summary of 300 words describing your educational and professional background.
5) List of your publications relating to the theme of the conference.

If your paper is selected you will be informed by July 30, 2005.

Note: SOAS will be able to support travel and accommodation costs only to a limited number of participants.
